Fall Out Boy on Thurs. Not even interested in the concert anymore; more excited for the tailgate. Friends, beer, and a grill.. sounds fab to me.

Fizix Day at Six Flags.. what can I say. I went on Batwing! So proud of myself.. especially since John spent the entire time leading up to us getting on the ride explaining how it's always the people who think they're going to die that actually do die in the end. We saw a girl with a beard, John ate an entire funnel cake by himself, and I breast-fed Stewie.. several times.

Amy had her Bet Yela meeting Friday morning. I spent 45 minutes on Thursday crying in the bathroom with frustration and anger.. I can't deal with my bosses anymore, so now they'll be more conscious of the situations they put me in. Barb is probably furious at me now, and I really don't care. I won't be working there this summer most likely. I'd rather nanny for Charlie and Mitchell than work in Hell.

Kate and I are planning the best-sounding trip of my life: just me and my bunny on our way to Canada. Hi, Poppet. Wilco + Son Volt in Canada.. just financial difficulties to be worked out now. Amazing.

You are amazing and beautiful and I miss you. I miss everything about you - the beaches, the fantastic caribbean water, the cool breezes, the pool bar, the poolside iguanas, the fluttery palms, and even the surly taxi drivers.

Your weather was unbelievable: 82 degrees is the perfect temperature for poolside and beach relaxation. Even though your strong sun burned my back, I don't blame you because the warmth was fantastic. The Caribbean water in your harbor was refreshing and gorgeous: not uncomfortably cold or warm.

You seemed to bring out the best in Isabella and Mitchell; they were both exceptionally well-behaved and still managed to have oodles of fun. Also, the staff at your Frenchman's Reef Marriott Resort made a killer breakfast buffet. The fruit they found on you was amazing and fresh.

How is this for close-minded,self-important drama:

We're doing Secret Santa; we being Richard, Shannon, Liz, Kaitlynn, Faisal, Julie, Jenny D, John, Amber, and myself. John is that kid who has to know who everyone has, so he worked out this flow chart during his aiding period, which also happens to be the period Julie and I aide for Mr. Goode. So, John came to us to work out his chart, which means by forced inclusion, Julie and I also know who everyone has.

Now Shannon PROBABLY knows who everyone has, including herself. However, when we were at Panera Friday afternoon, she made a point of asking me who has her. Also present at Panera were Julie and Jenny M. Julie happens to have Shannon; so obviously, I'm not going to tell Shannon while Julie is at the table. Had Julie not been at the table, I probably still would not have told her, just because I know Julie is so excited to have Shannon. So, after we'd argued about it for a solid ten minutes, we all decide to leave. I got there last, and ended up with a crap spot; apparently, right next to Shannon. She's pissed at me, even though she most definitely knows Julie has her (when Jenny asked Julie, and Julie said she wasn't telling, Jenny announced at the table that Julie had Shannon.. if Shannon didn't know before this, she knew now!). Walking to our cars is the most AWKWARD silence ever. She goes so far as to walk on the opposite side of the row as me. So, to provoke her further, I switch sides (I was walking on the wrong side, anyway.. plus I knew she'd move). Now she's not speaking to me, though she did inform me she was going to tell Richard to get me a crappy present, since he has me and she's helping him shop.

Why are high schoolers so self-involved and childish?

Besides, I'm apparently "flirting" with Alex in journalism. According to Ashley (the QUEEN of leading boys on) by fighting w/ him constantly, we are flirting. I have no idea? - shrug. -

I'm so sad right now, though. Josh's plane ticket arrived today. One-way to Australia as of Monday Oct. 17. I'm really distressed about this, and just now realizing it. Australia is the other side of the world. His vacations thus far have been to OBX, or LI, or even Niagara Falls (he's there right now w/ Rachael for her birthday). It's just sinking in now that my only brother is going DOWN UNDER in less than two weeks for (he hopes) more than four months. I'm going to miss him terribly. Rachael is moving to Boston, too, so I won't see either of them! Hopefully I'll matriculate to Brandeis next year, and be able to see her. But still, she's grieved about this almost to the point that it feels like he's died or been diagnosed terminally ill. I feel terribly for her on top of my own misery about this.

Trying so hard to be happy for the opportunities this will provide my brother. He finally gets a chance to start over, and everyone misses him so badly already. His head is there already, except when he's with Rachael. She can barely talk about it, but I know she wants so bad for him to be happy, and I do, too.

But I'm going to be selfish and miss him like no one's business...
